The Education for Climate Coalition is the European participatory education community to support the changes needed for a climate-neutral society.
As laid down in its co-designed community manifesto, the Education for Climate Coalition wants to inspire, develop and draw on innovative European education capabilities. As a community, it decides collectively, acts collaboratively, and adapts sustainably.
Their priorities are to:
Train teachers
Bridge education with science
Develop green skills and competences
Raise awareness
Change behaviours.
The Education for Climate Coalition is meant to gather the whole education community in the EU:
Teachers, educators, pupils, students, trainers and parents across all levels and institution types
People active in every part of education system: from early childhood care to adult learning, from museums to industry
It also invites education stakeholders and other education bodies at local, regional, national and European levels...
... through a peer area, a challenge incubator, a challenge experimentarium and a knowledge library!
